Best Drive Disc sets for Phoenix

Phoenix's 4-piece set is Freedom Blues. No other 4-piece set is recommended, so there is no substitute worth farming.

    Freedom Blues Best in slot

4-piece: When an EX Special Attack hits an enemy, reduce the target's Anomaly Buildup RES to the equipper's Attribute by 20% for 8s. This effect does not stack with others of the same attribute

2-piece: Anomaly Proficiency +30. Drops from Sharp Fang and Blunt Axe.

2-piece options

For the 2-piece slot the bonus matters, not the set's name. Several sets share the same 2-piece bonus, so Phoenix can take it from whichever one you have spare pieces of. Best first:

Phoenix main stats: Disk 4, 5 and 6

Disks 1 to 3 always roll HP, ATK and DEF as their main stat, so the choice is on 4, 5 and 6. A > means "better than"; = means the two are about as good.

SlotMain stat, best first
Disk 4Anomaly Proficiency
Disk 5Fire DMG%
Disk 6ATK%

Phoenix substat priority

Roll for Anomaly Proficiency and ATK% first. A disc showing neither of those is rarely worth levelling for Phoenix, whatever else it has.

  2. ATK%
  3. CRIT Rate
  4. CRIT DMG
  5. Flat ATK

Where to farm Phoenix's Drive Discs

Freedom Blues drops from the Sharp Fang and Blunt Axe Area Patrol stage. The other set it drops, Polar Metal, is not part of Phoenix's build.

Agents who also use Freedom Blues

These agents compete with Phoenix for the same set, which is worth knowing before you hand a good piece to one of them.

Questions

What is the best Drive Disc set for Phoenix?

Freedom Blues 4-piece. For the 2-piece, any set with Anomaly Mastery +8% or Anomaly Proficiency +30 works.

What main stats should Phoenix use on Disk 4, 5 and 6?

Disk 4: Anomaly Proficiency. Disk 5: Fire DMG%. Disk 6: ATK%. Disks 1 to 3 have fixed main stats (HP, ATK and DEF), so only their substats matter.

What substats does Phoenix need?

In priority order: Anomaly Proficiency, ATK%, CRIT Rate, CRIT DMG, Flat ATK. The first two are what make a disc worth levelling for Phoenix; the rest are tiebreakers.

Where do I farm Phoenix's Drive Discs?

Freedom Blues drops from the Sharp Fang and Blunt Axe Area Patrol stage, alongside Polar Metal. Each run at Lv.60 costs 60 Battery Charge and splits its S-rank discs between the two sets.
