How many weekly boss materials does a character need?

6 per talent from level 6 to 10, so 12 for Skill and Burst and 18 for all three talents. Each character uses exactly one weekly boss material.

Can I convert weekly boss materials?

Yes, within the same boss: Dream Solvent turns one of a boss's three talent materials into another of the same boss's, 1 for 1. You cannot convert between bosses.
